Not a special event or a special rehearsal but just a normal run-of-the-mill rehearsal.
Campbelltown regularly has over 30 players at weekly rehearsals where we have a lot of fun and learn heaps. Our Musical Director, Al Kidney, is very patient and encouraging and guides each player and section in the band to achieve a great harmonious brass band sound. We have a good mix of experienced players and learners, some only starting in the last few years, but under Al’s guidance Campbelltown is sounding better than it has in decades – and we are all enjoying it.
We must be doing something right to get such commitment from so many players. And many come for music theory lessons on yet another week night.
