Campbelltown City Band 100 Year Anniversary Concert
September 29 @ 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm$15
Tickets are available at the door or online through https://www.trybooking.com/BFETG
Campbelltown City Band is 100 years old, or maybe more, and we are celebrating in style!
Our records go back to 1919 so we’re hosting our centenary celebration concert in 2019, at the the Salvation Army hall at Norwood.
Previous Musical Directors will make guest appearances, and you will be treated to some of the music we’ve played over the last 10 decades (Instant Concert is not one of them sorry!). We’re fairly sure none of our players are original founding members (it’s rude to ask!) but there certainly are still families and relatives involved in the music scene in South Australia!
If you’ve played with us at any time over the past 100 years, we’d love to see you there too! Dust off your old instrument – or we can lend you one – and come along to a rehearsal and you can be involved in the concert!
We are also looking for memorabilia from the life of the band too so please contact band secretary, Kelly, if you have any interesting stories or photos.
If you are planning to come along to play, you must register to participate as a player so that music and seating can be arranged and importantly so you can attend the final rehearsal on the Saturday. RSVP for the dinner is also vital for catering purposes, please note families are welcome.
Please register with our wonderful secretary Kelly Perrie ASAP – email: firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 0414 502 941.
Schedule for the weekend:
3pm Rehearsal at Norwood Salvation Army (George St)
6pm Dinner for past & present players (& partners) – Settebello (Newton Rd Campbelltown)
1pm Sound check
2pm Celebrations commence (or continue)
