The annual Mayoral Trophy for the “Most Oustanding Bandsperson” for 2010 was this year presented to Wendy Merifield.
In presenting this award our Musical Director, Al Kidney, said that it had been a difficult decision as the number of people nominated had all been outstanding in some form or another and many people were worthy of receiving accolades. Wendy had been Secretary for many years and a willing helper in the regular Sausage Sizzles and a most consistent musician in the percussion section of the band.
