Campbelltown City Band entertained the community who had gathered at the Council Civic Centre to celebrate Australia Day earlier this year. We played a variety of catchy tunes plus of course the National Anthem for the raising of the Australian Flag.
A typical Aussie sausage sizzle was running while we played and a few players snuck off during speeches to catch an early lunch. Suddenly we were needed to play and guess who had a sausage in his conducting hand? I’m sure the tasty morsel encouraged us to play that little bit faster….
