Campbelltown participated in the Barossa Band Festival held on 20th October 2012 at the beautiful Brenton Langbein Theatre in Tanunda. A 20 minute programme of “Entertaining Music” was requested and with no set Test Piece all bands could just have fun and enjoy the experience of playing in such a wonderful acoustic building. Musical Director, Al Kidney, chose music from the movies and TV.
Our lovely blue jackets were abandoned for the day with many players dressing up as characters from the movies. Although it appears many in the audience could not see our fancy dress outfits it did provoke a lot of laughs from players in our band as well as many others.
