Well, at least we had carols this year, albeit in what we hope will turn out to be a unique format. No parade, no singing, only ticket holders admitted, socially distanced family groups, covid marshals…..but, on the positive side, the children loved the Ticklish Allsorts, Santa turned up in the rotunda and the Thorndon Park setting was as stunning as ever.
Let’s hope Christmas 2022 sees the end of the “new normal” and we can get back to the old one!
