Campbelltown Carols in Thorndon Park, pre-service entertainment for Newton Influencers’ Church, a joint concert with the Salvation Army at Paradise Primary School and Christmas Eve ensembles at All Souls’ Anglican and Balhannah Uniting Churches. What a contrast to the last three years of cancellations and social distancing!

Playing for more than 2,000 people before the Influencers’ Church carols was an exhilarating experience, but nothing can beat tea-towel draped shepherds and angels with wonky wings in a traditional nativity play. Amateur productions are always the most creative. Whoever would have thought of perching the angel of the lord on a stepladder to deliver her good tidings of great joy to the dazzled shepherds?

And so another eventful year draws to a close and as Santa continues his slog around the globe we breathe a sigh of relief and get stuck into the Christmas pud. Two weeks holiday before we start rehearsing for our Fringe performance Just Add Water. Tickets are already on sale and we look forward to playing to a packed Burnside Ballroom on Sunday March 5th.

Best wishes to everyone for a heathy and disaster free 2023 and many thanks to Peter Smith, our Musical Director for making 2022 so enjoyable and successful.
